i really need to clean up my desk. it's full of correspondences that i've glimpsed through and too lazy to file. bits of receipts, bills, namecards, wires/cables, pens and other various 'stuff' including a bunch of raya cards 'decorating' the back end of my screen.

the cleaner came to wipe my desk yesterday, but obviously couldn't as there weren't any exposed bits on my desk to wipe! there's also a dead plant on the bit of my desk that faces the window (yes! i have a window!), next to my tv (yes! i have a tv!). so the entire world can see evidence of my green thumbs....ha ha what green thumbs? sigh....i hope my money plant lives, even though i 'accidentally' doused it with hot water this morning! eek!

there's also this glass bowl filled with things that i need but don't know what to do with it and where to keep them. like the purple prayer beads (ahem...), old tags, some clips, scissors, a letter opener from the university of liverpool, keychains and old receipts.... let's not even talk about what's under my table!

egads! i trip over my dustbin every time i want to leave my desk!

ok here's my strategy for getting my desk cleaned up a.k.a. work avoidance strategy:

1. get rid of the raya cards.
2. take my mug and saucer to the pantry.
3. throw away the starbucks papercup. it has not and will not serve any further purpose.
4. give kiki all correspondences and other bits of paper that i don't know what to do with, she will know what to do with them a.k.a 'delegation'. ha ha!!
5. put all the files which that i've not looked at in the past 3 months into the cupboard. i won't need it.
6. throw away all 2004 calendars.
7. throw away the dead plant.

anything else? hmm....wish some bad memories from 2004 could be thrown away and cleaned up like my desk!
